  • The Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire Opens the Conference

    Abidjan, July 23, 2014. The Conference of Ministers on “Providing the African Youth with the Skills and Training for Jobs”, the proceedings of which began on July 21, was officially opened yesterday by the Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy, Finance and Budget of Côte d’Ivoire, the Hon. Daniel Duncan Kablan.

  • Conference kicked off today

    Abidjan, July 21, 2014. The Ministerial Conference on « Providing the African Youth with the Skills and Training for Jobs » kicked off in Abidjan today with a meeting of experts.

    The deliberations were opened by Mr. Eguié, Directeur de Cabinet, representing Hon. Moussa Dosso, the Minister of State, Ministry for Employment, Social Affairs and Vocational Training of Côte d’Ivoire and Oley Dibba-Wadda, ADEA’s Executive Secretary.

    The meeting presented a synthesis of that highlight strategies and actions implemented by African countries to create jobs and address the problem of youth’s integration into the work force.

    The meeting also reviewed the proposed Plan of Action for inter-country cooperation and ICQN-DCTP’s Work Plan for 2014-2017. Both Plans will be discussed and validated by the Ministers’ meeting which starts tomorrow.
